We will be releasing our first Various Artist compilation 30th of April, as always with a handpicked selection of talented FLINTA* artists. We will stick to what we can best - throwing party’s but additionally to that, we are now releasing a Layers VA every year, showcasing strongly underrepresented FLINTA* producers in electronic music. We are very proud to have come this far and want to thank you for your support over all those years 🫂

The label release party will be at one of our favorite venues: @ohmberlin
Save the date for the 30th of April - as we all know the 1st of May is a bank holiday in Berlin.

Wie schreiben wir queere Kunstgeschichte neu? Indem wir diejenigen sichtbar machen, die jahrzehntelang übergangen wurden. Die Ausstellung "Grace of Desire", Auftakt der Reihe Lesbian Legacies, unternimmt genau das – mit einem queeren Blick auf den Surrealismus durch die Kamera von Künstler*innen wie Claude Cahun, Florence Henri, Krista Beinstein und Marta Hoepffner.

Es geht um mehr als nur Ästhetik: Die Werke fordern Sehgewohnheiten heraus, experimentieren mit Identität jenseits binärer Kategorien und erzählen vom Widerstand gegen gesellschaftliche Normen. Die Ausstellung schlägt eine Brücke zwischen damals und heute, zwischen künstlerischer Avantgarde und queerer Vision.

✨ Konzipiert und kuratiert von Tarik Kentouche, Lorenz Liebig – und Dr. Birgit Bosold, die als Vorstandsmitglied des Schwulen Museums zahlreiche queere Ausstellungen verantwortet hat. Dieses Projekt findet nicht im Schwulen Museum, sondern im Kunstraum Scherben Berlin statt!

How do we rewrite queer art history? By making visible those who have been ignored for decades. The exhibition “Grace of Desire”, the first in the Lesbian Legacies series, does just that - with a queer look at surrealism through the eyes of artists such as Claude Cahun, Florence Henri, Krista Beinstein and Marta Hoepffner.

It is about more than just aesthetics: the works challenge viewing habits, experiment with identity beyond binary categories and tell of resistance to social norms. The exhibition builds a bridge between then and now, between artistic avant-garde and queer vision.

Schreibtreff Queere Worte mit @schwarzrund 

Online und analog im Spinnboden.

Es treffen sich einmal im Monat über das ganze Jahr schreibende Queers (Online und analog im Hybridformat bzw. aktueller Info). Das Format ist dabei immer gleich, 15 Minuten zum landen, 40 min schreiben, 10 Minuten Pause und weitere 40 Minuten schreiben.

Es werden 2 Runden geschrieben. Leute denen 4h zu lange sind, empfehlen wir entweder nach 2 Runden einfach zu gehen oder zb erst nach der ersten Runde dazuzukommen.

Nach den Runden kann gequatscht werden übers schreiben und alles andere. Jede Textform ist willkommen – von Gedicht, über Ausbildungstagebuch bis zur Doktorarbeit. Keine Ahnung was du schreiben willst? Komm vorbei, wir haben eine Kiste voller Schreibaufgaben bereitstehen für Dich.

Der Treff ist offen, das heißt, Anmeldungen sind jederzeit möglich.

چطور رقص به ما کمک می‌کند تا با تبعیض جنسی و شرم از بدن مقابله کنیم؟
این سوالی است که در دومین کارگاه WomenVisibilityinAktion2025 به‌طور مشترک بررسی خواهیم کرد.
رقص در دنیای پدرسالارانه برای FLINTA* (زنان، لزبین‌ها، افراد اینترسکس، نان‌باینری، ترنس و آجنر) اغلب آسان نیست. رسانه‌ها و صنعت مد تصویری از بدن‌ها را تحمیل کرده‌اند که بسیاری را سرکوب می‌کند و FLINTA* را در هنجارهای تحمیل شده و محدود تحت فشار و حذف از فضای عمومی قرار می‌دهد. در این جهان، رقص معمولاً از منظر جنسیتی دیده می‌شود. وقتی FLINTA* در مکان‌های عمومی می‌رقصند، بدنشان اغلب بی‌ارزش می‌شود و رقاصان و رقاصه‌ها معمولاً با توهین‌ها و تبعیض‌های جنسیتی روبرو می‌شوند.
اما رقص می‌تواند شکلی از مقاومت باشد! ✊
رقص فضایی است که در آن می‌توانیم از شرم از بدن رهایی یابیم و یاد بگیریم بدن خود را دوست داشته باشیم و بدون هراس از قضاوت بیرونی و سرکوب با رقص زندگی و مقاومت را جشن بگیریم.
این کارگاه به‌طور خاص برای FLINTA از افغانستان و ایران* برگزار می‌شود. در اینجا از رقص به‌عنوان ابزاری برای مبارزه با ساختارهای پدرسالارانه و تبعیض استفاده می‌کنیم که اغلب می‌خواهند ما را محدود، سرکوب و از فضای عمومی حذف کنند. با هم می‌رقصیم تا فضایی که شایسته‌اش هستیم را به‌دست آوریم. 🔥

Our Queer Fiction Bookclub is a book circle that welcomes everyone interested in reading lesbian and queer fiction with others (all are welcome).

Every month, we read a work of fiction and meet to discuss it. The discussion meet-up takes place online on the first Wednesday of the month, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm Berlin time. We mostly read & meet in English, but we can accomodate for participation in German if that means you will feel more comfortable joining us!

If you need help accessing the book for the month, please mention it in your registration email. 

You need to register separately via mail (beratung@spinnboden.de) for each month. Please try to register 3 days before the Bookclub takes place.

Please note: we recommend to order the books far enough in advance because although they are available, it can take a bit of time.

If you regularly attend the Bookclub Clara and Juliette are looking forward to jointly select books for the following meetings.

Who is doing the Bookclub

Clara – Clara (they/them) is an avid reader and has been looking for a group to read queer fiction together for a while. Clara has been volunteering with Spinnboden for a couple of months and feels really comfortable in the space surrounded by queer and lesbian literature and history. They look forward to connecting more with this space and community. 

Juliette – When having to write this bio, Juliette (she/her) realized that she has been reading books with others in some kind of group, class, circle or club since the age of 15. One would think that such simultaneous fascination for written wor(l)ds and coven-like formations would have lead her to her lesbian identity much earlier but, oh well! She is eager to collaborate with Clara and connect with the Spinnboden community to dive into the world of queer & lesbian fiction.

Dicke_fette Menschen werden stigmatisiert. Dieses Stigma hat sich bei Vielen von uns im Körper festgesetzt und oft sagen wir deswegen nicht was wir brauchen oder gehen nicht gegen Diskriminierung vor. Auch die queere Community ist leider kein sicherer Ort für dicke_fette Queers und die wenigen körperpositiven Räume sind meist hetero und cis dominiert. Das wir nicht mitgedacht werden, ist leider oft Normalität. Vielleicht sagen wir uns sogar, dass die Diskriminierung, die wir erleben nicht so schlimm ist, oder dass wir es verdient haben.

Schluss damit!

In dem Workshop gebe ich einen einführenden Input zu struktureller Diskriminierung gegen dicke_fette Queers. Danach tauschen wir uns aus wo und wie ihr bereits für euch einsteht und wo es euch vielleicht noch schwer fällt. Im letzten Teil des Workshops arbeiten wir an konkreten Situationen und üben für uns selbst einzustehen.

Mir ist es wichtig einen Raum zu schaffen, an dem wir mit unserer fetten queeren Wut in Kontakt kommen können, weil es dafür keine Räume gibt. Gleichzeitig möchte ich einen achtsamen Raum schaffen, in dem es keinen Druck gibt, zu performen. Ich möchte mit euch gemeinsam einen Raum gestalten, wo jede Person herausfinden kann, was für sich einzustehen individuell bedeutet: Ob das leise oder laut, mit Lachen oder Grimmigkeit, mit Faust in der Tasche oder bei der Aktion in der ersten Reihe ist – alles darf da sein.

Medizinische Möglichkeiten für trans* Menschen mit Kinderwunsch
Die Annahme, dass transgeschlechtliche Menschen keine Kinder bekommen können oder wollen, hält sich hartnäckig – obwohl queere Familien und trans* Elternschaften längst gelebte Realität sind. Auch trans* Personen können Kinder zeugen, schwanger werden und gebären.

Im Input werden für genderqueere Personen zentrale Fragen rund um das Thema Kinderwunsch behandelt: Welche Auswirkungen haben Hormone auf die Fruchtbarkeit? Ist eine Schwangerschaft unter Testosteron möglich? Können trans* Frauen stillen?
Neben medizinischen und reproduktionsbiologischen Grundlagen zu Fruchtbarkeit, Schwangerschaft, Geburt und Wochenbett werden auch persönliche Erfahrungen von trans* (Wunsch-)Eltern einbezogen.

Vorkenntnisse sind nicht notwendig und es gibt Raum für Austausch, Fragen und Diskussion. Der Abend ist als Peer-to-Peer-Veranstaltung geplant und richtet sich vorrangig an TINA* Personen. Partner*innen, Begleitpersonen und Allies sind ebenfalls herzlich willkommen.

Taleo Stüwe (er/ihm) ist Arzt und Teil des Fortbildungskollektivs Queer*sensible Geburtshilfe. Er hält Vorträge und gibt Workshops in wissenschaftlichen, bildungspolitischen und aktivistischen Kontexten. Seine Schwerpunktthemen sind unter anderem queere Kinderwünsche und Elternschaften sowie Reproduktive Gerechtigkeit.

In dem Zine haben wir Beiträge unterschiedlicher Autor*innen zu den Kämpfen von Sexarbeiter*innen zusammengetragen. Es geht in den Texten darum, warum Sexarbeit entkriminalisiert werden muss, welche Akteur*innen diese Kämpfe verhindern wollen und wie mensch SWERFs und TERFs argumentativ begegnen kann.

Mit dem Zine und dem Film Screening möchten wir euch einladen, euch zu diesen Themen zu informieren, euch auszutauschen und zu verbünden – auch im Hinblick auf den Hurentag am 2. Juni, der sich dieses Jahr zum 50. Mal jährt! ❤️‍🔥

Wir werden gemeinsam den Film „Wo Sexarbeiterinnen keine Rechte haben“ (Ovidie) schauen. Es geht um den Feminizid an Eva-Maree Smith Kullander, einer Aktivistin für die Rechte von Sexarbeiter*innen. Der Film beschäftigt sich dabei insbesondere mit der Schuld, die der schwedische Staat und das „nordische Modell“ an ihrem Tod tragen. Der Film ist deutschsprachig. Anschließend gibt es die Möglichkeit, sich zum Film und den Themen des Zines auszutauschen.

Inhaltswarnung: Feminizid, körperliche Gewalt, staatliche Gewalt gegenüber Sexarbeiter*innen, Stigmatisierung und Diskriminierung von Sexarbeiter*innen

Barriereinformation:
Die Räume sind über wenige Stufen ins Souterrain erreichbar. Es gibt die Möglichkeit, eine Rampe aufzubauen. Ansonsten sind die Räume ebenerdig, bis auf eine kleine Bodenerhöhung (ca. 1cm) im Durchgang zur Bar. Die Toiletten sind nicht rollstuhlgerecht. Es gibt einen Raum mit Bar und Musik und einen weiteren großen Raum mit Bühne, in dem wir den Film schauen werden. Beide Räume haben eine Belüftung. Außerdem gibt es auch einen breiten Flur zu den beiden Räumen, der ruhiger ist. An der Bar kann geraucht werden, der große Raum mit Bühne ist rauchfrei. Generell sind die Räumlichkeiten eher dunkel. Es wird ein erkennbares Awareness-Team geben. Bei weiteren Fragen zu Barrieren, schreibt uns bitte eine Nachricht!

With the zine and film screening, we would like to invite you to inform yourself on these topics, exchange ideas and join forces - also in regards to the Whores' Day coming up on June 2nd with its 50th anniversary this year! ❤️‍🔥

We will watch the movie “Wo Sexarbeiter*innen keine Rechte haben” by Ovidie together. The film is about the feminicide of Eva-Maree Smith Kullander, an activist for the rights of sex workers. The film deals in particular with the complicity of the Swedish state and the “Nordic model” in her death. The film is in German. Afterwards there will be the opportunity to discuss the movie and the topics of the zine.
